About the Role:
- Interpret U.S., Australian and European export and import controls, sanctions and related regulations applicable to the MQ-28 Program and provide guidance on the application of, and adherence to, the requirements.
- Implement internal controls for trade control compliance, direct trade control activity, and provide guidance to Boeing MQ-28 Program regarding incorporating trade control requirements into program processes and procedures;
- Prepare and submit Defence Export Control (DEC) permit applications and manage regulatory authority interactions;
- Maintain accurate trade control authorisation records and training material;
- Advise MQ-28 program on export classifications, transfer controls, technical data handling, and compliance strategies and mitigations;
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders (security, supply chain, engineering, program management);
- Participate in internal governance, training delivery, and continuous-improvement initiatives to strengthen Trade Controls processes;
- Act as a liaison between Boeing and customers and suppliers for trade control-related matters;
- Analyse applicability of trade control requirements relating to both DCS and FMS procurement methods;
- Assist with planning of export licensing requirements for contracted activities and potential future activities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Practical experience with export controls, sanctions, or related regulatory frameworks;
- Experience with Australian Defence Trade Controls, US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and US Export Administration Regulations (EAR);
- Experience drafting Defence Export Control (DEC) permit applications and managing regulatory authority interactions;
- Effective communication skills and experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders;
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to provide clear, practical advice;
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or related disciplines.
- Prior experience on defence or aerospace programs and familiarity with DCS and FMS procurement paths.
