Role Snapshot:
As the go-to lead for all aspects of sales month-end closing, commercial hygiene, and trade spend management, you’ll ensure seamless processes and robust governance across trade claims, accounts receivable, and rebates payable. Working closely with the commercial team—including the Head of Sales, Channel and Sales Teams—to uphold commercial hygiene and monitor early warning indicators for deviations from forecasts.
You’ll be the primary point of contact for compliance, audits, trade agreement management, and balance sheet reconciliations. By maintaining systems and fostering transparency, you’ll play a critical role in supporting accurate month-end closings and providing strategic insights that keep our commercial operations running smoothly.
Your day to day:
- Complete ownership of the Month End actualization processes up to Net Sales
- Take ownership of the Sales related reporting and analysis provided to the wider business including,
- Daily Sales, Weekly Sales Call and Month end Sales Flash.
- Control and Governance – Ensure compliance with all HALEON audit requirements. Execute independent management monitoring to ensure internal controls are delivering on commercial hygiene policies.
- Ensure business wide compliance to the Trade Spend SOP including the governance process,
- pertaining to ROI approvals
- Leading and coaching a direct team of 3 trade spend analysts to drive continual results for the CCC cycle, specifically through trade spend analysis and claims management.
- Working with Trade Spend Analysts, Trade agreements management including all on invoice discounts and Trade accruals management (via trade spend analyst)
About you:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, which enable liaison with internal parties
- Expert in financial analysis and business modelling
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, self-motivated and ability to manage conflicting
- Solving complex problems, project management which include adherence to best practices
- Highly computer literate and ability to quickly learn and master new systems and processes, particularly SAP, Excel, TSM, APO
- Previous CH / FMCG experience advantageous.
- Qualified Accountant (CA / CPA) or working towards a qualification.
