About the Role
FLS is seeking an energetic Trades Assistant to support our workshop operations in the strip, assessment, and rebuild of cyclones, valves, and other OEM equipment. This role is an entry-level position designed for individuals under training, with a focus on PCV equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced trades personnel and contribute to the maintenance and rebuild processes in line with OEM procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the strip, assess, and rebuild of cyclones, valves, and other OEM equipment.

Participate in routine and pre-start checks using established checklists before starting and during equipment operation.

Support the start-up and operation of machines used in production processes.

Adhere to FLSmidth’s Critical Risk Standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Contribute to production records and toolbox meetings by providing relevant input.

Assist trades personnel in various tasks as needed.

Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others affected by company operations.
About You

No prior experience is required; however, an interest in mechanical or trade-based work is highly desirable.

Willingness to learn and follow OEM procedures for equipment maintenance and rebuilding.

Ability to follow instructions and work under close supervision.

Basic communication skills to relay information clearly.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
