You will support CMC Markets’ award-winning trading platforms used globally across web, mobile, and API channels, helping ensure performance, reliability, and availability in a high-availability production environment.
As part of the Trading Application Support team, you will develop expertise in Windows Server, SQL Server, enterprise monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis within a regulated financial services setting.

What you’ll be working on
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for trading platforms across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor systems in real time, investigate alerts, and resolve incidents.
- Coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, Security, DBA, and Business Operations teams.
- Support a predominantly Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server environment.
- Perform log analysis and issue correlation using Splunk.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventative actions.
- Participate in change and release management activities.
- Contribute to process improvements and monitoring enhancements.
- Take part in a weekly rotating shift, including shared weekend on-call support.
- Apply sound technical judgement, maintain a calm approach, and demonstrate strong attention to detail to make a visible impact daily.
What will help you be successful?
- Self-motivated with a genuine interest in technology.
- Comfortable working in structured, process-driven environments and able to remain calm under pressure.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in IT or Application Support.
- Strong experience supporting Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Proven incident management and root cause analysis capability.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk log searching and alert investigation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and integration layers.
- Experience in financial services, ITIL-aligned environments, or Red Hat Linux is advantageous
