Job Description
An 80-year group, COBRA promotes its own efficient business model, the result of the combination of decentralization, geographical diversification and technical specialization of more than 20,000 professionals in more than 43 countries. Cobra is divided into four main sectors of activity, Networks, Specialised installations, integrated projects and concession assets.
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana REZ transmission project is currently seeking a dedicated Traffic Engineering Lead to share their expertise in our growing project team.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of project transport systems while adhering to Australian Standards and Main Roads Codes of Practice. This role requires expertise in assessing and designing complex traffic management plans, conducting pre-planning and risk assessments, and overseeing the progressive stages of long-term projects.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive understanding of Australian Standards, local Councils, Austroads, Transport for NSW (TfNSW), and other Roads Codes of Practice.
Prepare, design and review traffic management plans including Traffic Guidance Scheme.
Conduct pre-planning and risk assessments.
Oversee and coordinate the various phases of traffic-related tasks on the project
Utilise negotiation skills to obtain permits and foster relationships with relevant authorities.
Ensure timely rostering and job arrangements for the Traffic Management team, meeting regulatory specifications.
Perform all tasks associated with Traffic Management as required by the project.
Supervise and assist on the day-to-day activities of the Traffic Management team.
Maintain accurate daily activity sheets, authorising modifications to traffic management schemes as needed.
Review Traffic Management schemes in accordance with basic rules, derived from generic traffic control diagrams.
Provide technical advice on Traffic Engineering and Traffic Management including design, routes and access.
Perform regular inspections of traffic control measures, including road conditions and road safety.
Liaising and facilitate regular meetings with the Client / stakeholders on traffic management matters for the project on traffic management matters.
Lead and participate in community and stakeholder engagement activities to address concerns related to traffic.
Liaising with the Project Manager and Community Liaison Manager to ensure appropriate consultation occurs with impacted stakeholders in relation to traffic plans.
Required Skills and Competencies
5+ years’ experience
Current TfNSW Traffic Management certification (e.g. TC, IMP, PWZ)
Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning or related discipline
Previous Traffic management experience on TfNSW Projects
Advanced level of MS Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word & Excel
TfNSW Traffic Management certification (e.g. TCR, IMP, PWZ)
