About the role

MSS Security is seeking a Training and Compliance Manager to oversee training across Victoria and New South Wales. This role will support the National Account Manager in maintaining a highly trained, competent, compliant and professional security workforce across data centres.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Training Management and Development: Develop and oversee a national security training framework, ensuring all personnel meet mandatory, contractual, client and site-specific training requirements through structured onboarding, competency programs, refresher training and practical scenario-based development.

  • Competency and Standards: Develop and implement a competency framework to assess and ensure security personnel meet the required standards and capabilities for their assigned roles and identify opportunities to develop guards into high-performing security professionals.

  • Compliance Management: Oversee training and operational compliance, ensuring licences, mandatory training and certifications remain current, compliance risks are identified and accurate records are maintained.

  • Site Audits and Audit Readiness: Manage ongoing site compliance and competency audits across data centre security operations, ensuring risks and non-conformances are identified, corrective actions are implemented and sites remain consistently prepared for audits.

  • Site Deployment: Support new data centre mobilisations and operational changes by developing training plans, coordinating inductions and onboarding, ensuring personnel are deployment ready.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reporting to the National Account Manager on training, compliance, audits, competencies, corrective actions, development and key risks.

 

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly regarded or equivalent experience in training and development.

  • Qualifications or experience in security management, compliance, risk management and workplace training.

  • Experience with security audits and corrective action management.

  • Experience within data centres, critical infrastructure, government or other high-security environments.

  • Must be an Australian Citizen.

  • Hold a current AGSVA NV1 clearance (or higher).

  • Valid Victorian Security Licence.

 

The Training and Compliance Manager will help create a security workforce that is professional, engaged, accountable and continually developing, while supporting the National Account Manager in delivering a consistently high standard of security service across the national account.
