As the Venture Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our growth, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and venture strategy. You'll be at the forefront of nib's transformation from a traditional payer to a proactive partner in healthcare, contributing to high-impact investments and strategic initiatives.

Reporting to the Group Head of Growth and Ventures, you will:

  • Provide Market Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, analyse industry trends, and provide competitive intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

  • Monitor Portfolio Performance: Track portfolio performance, analyse synergies and investment outcomes, and provide executive reporting on venture success.

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with executives, founders, and internal stakeholders to drive high-impact investments and position nib as a leader beyond traditional insurance models.

Let’s talk about you

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially savvy professional with over four years of experience, ideally coming from a strong background in investment banking, corporate advisory, management consulting, venture capital, private equity, or a high-growth corporate environment.

In this role, you will bring expertise across the full investment lifecycle, including M&A and investment analysis. This involves supporting deal execution, conducting in-depth market research, and assessing synergies for acquisitions, partnerships, or other strategic investments.

Furthermore, we’re looking for:

  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights – Ability to track industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities, providing data-driven recommendations.

  • Post-Merger Integration & Performance Monitoring – Experience in tracking acquired businesses, measuring synergies, and ensuring investment success.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Experience working with senior leaders, investors, and external advisors, with strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and presentations.

At nib, we recognise that some people may only apply when their education, skills and/or experiences are identical to what an employer is looking for in a candidate.
