Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, Prism Product Manager role is responsible for delivering agile changes that drive growth and optimize the AMTF processes in the PRISM framework. This role will lead cross functional alignment across business owners, product owners, technical resources, and other PRISM pillars. The ideal candidate will be a passionate problem solver with robust Credit process knowledge supported by strong project management, agile experience, and technical expertise. As part of the AMTF & Collections Train, this role will also support Collections features when needed. This role will primarily support the PRISM solution leader and the AMTF Implementation team leader in the development of program roadmap. The role will oversee a group of product owners leading agile teams aligned to AMTF.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of new capabilities, enhancements, and features across Credit AMTF Train, and support Collections as needed.   

  • Set expectations and demonstrate flexibility while managing a diverse set of stakeholders. Manage priority and input from AMTF Credit & Fraud strategy and implementation teams, and IT teams while working with other Agile teams within the Synchrony Scaled Agile Train to support cross-team changes.

  • Lead PI Planning sessions to prioritize AMTF capabilities, commitment to work, and set stretch goals. Communicate commitment changes, status, and timelines to PRISM leadership on a scheduled basis.

  • Collaborate and work closely with key stakeholders (e.g. Prism Pillar leads, AMTF strategy and implementation teams, client teams, technology teams) on impacts and dependencies. 

  • Ensure teams are on schedule for committed changes, resolve or escalate roadblocks to stakeholders and Senior Leadership. 

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in either MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Data Science and 5+ years of relevant experience in consumer/commercial credit management, lending, marketing or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer credit decisioning environment. Or in lieu of a bachelors' degree, 8+ years of relevant experience in consumer or commercial risk management, lending, marketing or appropriate field in a credit card / consumer lending environment.

  • 3+ years’ experience and strong technical abilities and understanding of credit decisioning platforms and Decision Engines. 

  • 3+ years Agile Product Owner/Manager or similar experience with agile methodology.

  • 3+ years Project Management experience.

  • Demonstrated project management experience with attention to detail, report accuracy, data integrity, and team focus.

  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • 7+ years working in the financial services industry in one or more functional areas: Technology, Operation, Credit infrastructure.

  • Experience operating at a strategic level as part of a cross functional team.

  • Deep expertise in credit process.

  • Familiarity with consumer and commercial lending products and practices

  • Experience in consensus building.

  • Strong sense for controls framework, fostering a quality mindset and data governance.

  • Ability to document and communicate complex issues clearly to a diverse group of professionals in collaborative environment.

  • Curious investigative mindset for data and its relationship to business, reporting, financial modeling.

  • Experience with Decision Engines (e.g., FICO DMP, Power Curve, Fiserv, and/or others credit decisioning platforms.)

  • 2+ year SAS /SQL/Python programming experience. 

  • Post Graduation with advanced analytic focus, or equivalent advanced degree.

Grade/Level: 12

                                                            

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
