Job DescriptionJoin Nine as our Workday Cross-Functional Lead, a senior strategic role driving the digital transformation of our People & Culture ecosystem.
After a successful implementation process, Nine is on the verge of going live with Workday HRIS. As Workday Cross-Functional Lead, you will lead Nine’s internal Functional Support team. You will drive the integration and continuous improvement of Workday, translating complex business strategies into scalable, high-impact technology solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a talented functional team and shape the future of work at Nine during a landmark enterprise-wide evolution.
Day to day you will:
- Lead a small team of internal Workday Functional Analysts, overseeing their technical development and prioritising daily support and project delivery.
- Drive system governance and platform health, ensuring data integrity, security compliance, and the successful execution of semi-annual Workday releases.
- Manage the external AMS provider relationship, acting as the primary liaison for complex Tier 3 escalations and system enhancement specifications.
- Maintain the platform roadmap in collaboration with Technology and business leaders to drive relentless process optimisation and automation.
- Provide deep functional expertise across Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, and Talent modules to resolve escalated configuration challenges.
- Provide advice to the Workday Phase 2 implementation team, which will launch Advanced Compensation and Performance modules in July 2026
What you'll bring:
- Extensive Workday expertise in a Functional Lead, Architect, or Senior Analyst capacity
- Advanced configuration skills across multiple modules, such as Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, Talent, and Absence Management.
- Proven people leadership capabilities, with a track record of mentoring teams and managing complex workloads effectively.
- Strong vendor management experience, specifically in governing external Application Management Services (AMS) and technical partners.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate intricate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and executives.
- Analytical rigour and a high attention to detail for managing end-to-end testing, deployment, and system documentation.
