The Senior Principal Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Drives and makes decisions regarding tactical direction of project workstreams.

  • Identifies dependencies and supports interplay between different workstreams within a project.

  • Leads, mentors, and oversees the work of other Consultants within their projects.

  • Engage in advanced integration tasks and technical enhancements such as Workday Extend and Workday Orchestrate for integration deployment as needed.

  • Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.

  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.

  • Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.

  • Display your hands-on expertise of the software, including iLoading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.

  • Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads.

  • Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.

Skills & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or other engineering discipline preferred

  • Ideally 3-5 years of consulting experience

  • Workday Integration, Workday StudioTM and Workday CCTPPTM certification preferred

  • Project experience in a technical or techno-functional role on one or more ERP implementation projects using SOA tools (SAP NetWeaver, Oracle Fusion, Workday Studio or other middleware platform)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with web service technologies (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities; able to communicate effectively with diverse people and individuals at various levels within the organization

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
