Job Description

We’re interested in connecting with Workplace Change specialists who bring a people-first lens to workplace transformation — helping organisations move through change with clarity, confidence and impact.

We’re opening an Expression of Interest to meet experienced professionals across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane who are passionate about the human side of workplace design and are interested in future opportunities with our team.

About the role

You’ll work alongside workplace strategists, interior designers and project leaders to help clients navigate the people side of change — from workplace transformation and relocation through to new ways of working.

This role sits at the intersection of design, culture and organisational change.

You’ll lead engagement with stakeholders, shape change strategies, facilitate workshops and build the communication and adoption plans that help people transition into new environments successfully.

What you’ll do

  • Lead change management across workplace design and transformation projects, ensuring people and behaviours are considered alongside the physical environment
  • Develop and deliver change strategies for workplace transformation, relocation and redesign projects
  • Partner with workplace strategists, designers and project managers to integrate change activity into the wider project approach
  • Engage with client stakeholders to understand business needs, identify impacts and build support for change
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and engagement sessions to gather insight and shape project outcomes
  • Develop stakeholder engagement plans, communication strategies and change interventions tailored to each client
  • Support the development of workplace vision, behavioural principles and change narratives
  • Assess readiness for change and identify risks, barriers and opportunities across organisations
  • Create communication and engagement materials including presentations, briefing packs and launch content
  • Advise clients on employee experience, hybrid work and workplace adoption strategies
  • Collaborate with occupancy planning, move management and delivery teams to support smooth transitions into new spaces
  • Measure the effectiveness of change activity through feedback and post-occupancy insights
  • Build trusted client relationships and contribute to proposals, pitches and future business opportunities
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building across the team.

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for

You may come from workplace change management, organisational development, employee experience, workplace strategy, interior design consulting or a related field.

What matters most is your ability to understand people, navigate complexity and bring others with you through change.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 5+ years’ experience in change management, workplace strategy or workplace transformation
  • Experience supporting workplace change, relocation, hybrid working or organisational transformation projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
  • Confidence working with senior client stakeholders across business, people and project teams
  • Experience developing communication, engagement and adoption strategies
  • A strong understanding of workplace culture, employee experience and how people interact with space
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — both verbal and written
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in working within multidisciplinary design teams

Additional Information

Our team enjoys a wide range of benefits to support their development and well-being:

  • A dynamic and inclusive work environment
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • A balanced work-life schedule with reasonable working hours
  • Generous paid parental leave for primary and secondary carers.
  • A progressive flexible work policy that allows hybrid work, location flexibility and work pattern flexibility
  • Inter-studio transfer opportunities

Hassell is an inclusive, equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity. We demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation and cultural safety by fostering inclusive environments that value the cultural identities, perspectives, and practices of all individuals. We prioritise ensuring that everyone feels safe, included, and respected.

Our local studios serve as primary hubs for in-person connection and collaboration, and we offer flexible and hybrid work arrangements. Hassell encourages sustainable work hours and actively supports the holistic health and well-being of our people.

Why connect with us

At Hassell, our work spans workplace, hospitality, education, public and city-shaping projects across Australia and globally.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of strategists, designers and specialists shaping places that respond to how people work, connect and live — with a strong focus on collaboration, creativity and meaningful impact.

If you’re interested in future opportunities in workplace change and transformation, we’d love to hear from you.
