Who we areAbout Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

In this role, you’d be joining the Workplace Experience Operations team which is part of the broader Finance organization. The mission of the Stripe Workplace team is to build and operate inspirational work environments uniquely designed for productivity and wellbeing. Offices that are warm, comfortable, welcoming and also reflect Stripe’s operating principles and the highly regulated industry in which Stripe operates, where safety, security, and confidentiality are paramount.

What you’ll do

We're looking for an organized, flexible, and detail-oriented person who's enthusiastic about - and has a driving need to deliver-the best possible workplace experience for Stripes. You’ll own day-to-day management for our Sydney office and remotely support other satellite offices. This includes: implementing programming aligned with the return to office at Stripe, engagement with key stakeholders in supporting office experience & culture, and strengthening vendor relationships to keep Stripes engaged and productive.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily workplace operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and a high standard of hospitality.
  • Work closely with global Workplace colleagues, cross-functional partner teams, and functional leaders to ensure that the office(s) you manage is a productive, comfortable environment that reflects Stripe’s Workplace philosophies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site specific internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams.
  • Create great first impressions; manage Stripe's front of house experience, ensuring both guests and employees have an exceptional front-of-house experience.
  • Oversee vendor performance, ensuring that all vendors and third-party partners deliver exceptional services in accordance with documented standards, meeting both business and customer expectations.
  • Manage vendors on a day-to-day basis, including system onboarding and access tracking, addressing issues, tracking progress, and ensuring resolution within the expected SLAs.
  • Implement and support site-specific workplace programs (e.g., space planning, EHS, food services) in alignment with global standards developed by the Programs Team.
  • Provide feedback on programs to be shared with the Programs team for incorporation into existing and new programs.
  • Site specific budget management, tracking expenses, processing invoices, and supporting financial forecasting.
  • Work closely with the Regional Experience Manager and our Finance & Strategy partner to manage site specific purchase orders (PO), including creation and tracking, approve invoices, and oversee spend reporting and forecasting for future OPEX expenditures.
Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 5 years of experience in office/facilities management in a fast-paced environment with a working knowledge of building systems and operational best practices
  • Demonstrated abilities and strengths in vendor and budget management
  • Strength in building relationships with key partners to ensure efficiency and understanding on cross-functional projects
  • A proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects; be highly organized with analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace with rapidly changing priorities
  • The ability to operate independently, digging into problems to understand the root cause and delivering scalable solutions
  • An orientation toward rolling up your sleeves to get things done
  • A driving need to deliver the best possible experience—you may have been called a perfectionist once or twice
