Cloud monitoring and security platform Datadog announced the launch of its products and services through Amazon Web Services’ Asia-Pacific Region, building on its existing presence in North America, Asia and Europe.

According to a company news release, the move will allow Datadog and its customers in Australia and New Zealand to store and process data locally, supporting compliance with local privacy, security and data storage regulations. That compliance is crucial for highly regulated sectors such as government, banking and healthcare.

“This milestone reinforces Datadog’s commitment to supporting the region’s advanced digital capabilities — especially the Australian Government’s ambition to make the country a leading digital economy. With strong momentum across public and private sectors, our investment enhances trust in Datadog’s unified and cloud-agnostic observability and security platform, and positions us to meet the evolving needs of agencies and enterprises alike,” Yanbing Li, chief product officer at Datadog, said in a statement.

Additionally, the launch follows the recent executive appointments of Yadi Narayana and Adrian Towsey.
