Morse Micro Appoints Vice President, Country Manager for Japan

Yoshikazu Oishi will be the regional leader for the connectivity tech company’s Japanese operations.

Morse Micro, a company developing high-capacity Wi-Fi connectivity solutions, announced the appointment of Yoshikazu Oishi as its vice president, country manager for Japan. Morse Micro, headquartered in Surry Hills, specializes in semiconductors and is building wireless IoT connectivity solutions . 

The company’s Wi-Fi HaLow offering aims to be more energy efficient than traditional Wi-Fi and has an exceedingly farther range. The Wi-Fi HaLow protocol is an open standard, wireless network technology operating in the 850-950 MHz range, according to Morse Micro. The company’s technology has applications across enterprise networks, industrial automation, infrastructure solutions, smart cities and more. 

Prior to joining Morse Micro, Oishi was VP and president of Richtek Japan where he led the company’s sales operations across Japan and the Southeast Asia Pacific region. In his new role, Oishi will oversee Morse Micro Japan operations, focusing on driving business initiatives and maintaining alignment with the company’s global strategy.
