AlertMedia Employee Perspectives

What is the unique story that you feel AlertMedia has with AI, and If you were writing about it, what would the title of your blog be?

The blog title we’d use is, “AI With Intention: How AlertMedia Uses Intelligence to Scale Safety and Service.” At AlertMedia, our AI strategy is rooted in solving real problems that arise during high-stakes, high-pressure moments that impact employee safety and business operations. These include everything from severe weather events and natural disasters to acts of violence and geopolitical conflicts. During situations like these, our customers rely on our platform to provide access to accurate information and help them act on it quickly to mitigate risks.

In support of that goal, we’ve integrated AI into our platform in two key ways. This year, we launched the AI Assistant, which helps customers accelerate response times by creating and translating time-sensitive communications so they can get information out quickly to those who need it. Additionally, we’ve developed a unique, AI-powered threat intelligence offering designed to identify emerging risks using early signals, allowing customers to rapidly assess impact and deploy resources. Internally, we’re also using AI to help teams navigate internal documentation, evaluate technical trade-offs and automate repetitive tasks, all of which means less time searching, sorting and sifting — and more time building and delivering value.

What was a monumental moment for your team when it comes to your work with AI?

One of the most impactful milestones for us was launching the AI Assistant, giving customers the ability to quickly draft, revise and translate emergency messages when time and clarity are critical. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and for customers who aren’t quite ready to adopt AI, we’ve ensured they can opt out. That flexibility has built a strong foundation of trust while still moving the industry forward.

Internally, we’ve embraced AI to scale key functions like customer support, marketing, engineering and product development. By automating repetitive tasks and accelerating workflows, our teams are able to focus more on strategic problem-solving and innovation. It’s been a powerful tool not just in terms of efficiency, but in freeing up time and brainpower to build better, more quickly and with greater impact.

What challenges did your team overcome in AI adoption?

The challenge wasn’t just adopting AI — it was doing it responsibly, securely and in a way that enhances both customer trust and our team’s productivity. For customer-facing features like the AI Assistant, we designed the system to operate entirely within AlertMedia’s secure environment, with no data shared or used for model training. In our threat intelligence pipeline, we’ve blended AI with human expertise to ensure that the alerts we deliver are both timely and trustworthy.

Internally, we’ve been intentional about using AI to support — not replace — our teams. From tools that help our customer support and solutions teams find answers more quickly to AI copilots that assist engineers with exploring different implementation strategies, AI is becoming part of our day-to-day decision-making. It’s helping us reduce the noise, speed up development, and stay laser-focused on delivering the most value to our customers as we grow. By leveraging AI across our platform and within our teams, we’re not just scaling more quickly — we’re scaling smarter, with a clear focus on safety, trust and customer success.
