The role requires hands-on software engineering across Linux, JVM or systems technologies, Kubernetes, AWS, observability, performance analysis, incident response, sharding, replication, and multi-region architectures.

Own reliability for Canva’s highest-risk systems by writing production software, improving distributed systems, debugging large codebases, and reducing incidents, latency, and operational toil.
