Design and implement end-to-end infrastructure projects, build developer-facing tools and automation (self-service platforms, CLIs, CI/CD), improve observability, collaborate with engineering teams, mentor juniors, and participate in on-call rotation for critical platform services.

Design, build and improve observability platforms, pipelines, and tooling. Provide technical leadership, prototype and optimise metrics and continuous profiling systems, improve querying/visualisation UX, evangelise observability best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure reliable, scalable monitoring and insights for Canva engineers.

Lead development of lightweight SDKs, dashboards, and CI checks to monitor web performance (LCP, INP, CLS). Extend OpenTelemetry pipelines ingesting large-scale RUM data, build low-overhead metric collection libraries and no-merge-if-slower checks, and investigate performance regressions using DevTools and Lighthouse to drive high-ROI improvements.
