Build and operate production machine learning infrastructure, applications, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and LLM inference workloads. The role involves Python development, Kubernetes and Docker deployments, automation, prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, inference optimization, and collaboration with technology and business stakeholders. This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term hybrid position in Sydney.

Leads and develops the DevOps team while designing secure, scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Builds CI/CD pipelines, manages Terraform and Ansible automation, administers AWS, Azure, VMware and Kubernetes environments, and strengthens monitoring, observability, incident response and disaster recovery. Partners with AI, infrastructure and security teams to improve developer tooling, embed security, and meet regulatory requirements. Coaches technical staff, engages stakeholders and supports reliable software delivery.

Manage a portfolio of non-significant workers compensation claims: review and analyse claims, develop and monitor Claims Management Plans, forecast and implement return-to-work strategies, and ensure compliance with legislation and company policies to achieve timely, durable RTW outcomes.

Manage and resolve litigated workers’ compensation claims, including Work Injury Damages claims and statutory matters before the Personal Injury Commission. Provide legal advice on legislation, regulation, policy, and emerging case law; collaborate with external legal providers; represent EML in proceedings; support claims teams and policyholders; and contribute to portfolio reviews and legal projects.

Screen and assess insurance claims using open-source intelligence software and public data. Analyze findings, prepare detailed reports, provide stakeholder updates, verify information against claim certifications, and maintain accurate records while protecting confidential information. The role also includes correspondence and administrative review tasks, requiring strong analytical, organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with agency stakeholders in the workers compensation sector. The Account Manager will understand client priorities, identify service improvement opportunities, coordinate engagement activities, manage complex issues, monitor emerging risks, and support strategic initiatives that improve client and organisational outcomes.

Manage end-to-end permanent impairment claims for workers compensation agencies, ensuring compliance with NSW legislation, regulations, guidelines, quality measures, and timeframes. Provide technical and legal support for disputes and litigation, attend hearings and conciliations, and maintain effective relationships with clients, legal providers, and stakeholders. The role requires claims management experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of permanent impairment benefits and Personal Injury Commission dispute determinations.

Develop and maintain workforce forecasting models using claims volumes, workloads, caseloads, and attrition data. Analyze trends, monitor forecast accuracy, identify workforce risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to leaders and stakeholders. The role also supports workforce optimization and continuous improvement within a workers compensation and personal injury claims management organization.

The Legal Group Manager oversees legal performance and capability, leads teams, manages complex claims, ensures compliance, and represents EML in regulatory forums.
