Perform shipbuilding and repair tasks including studying plans, fabricating and assembling hull sections, welding bulkheads, frames and pipes (carbon steel, stainless, high-pressure), and repairing vessels using materials such as aluminium, wood, fibreglass, carbon fibre and Kevlar. Follow safety procedures and pass pre-employment medical, D&A screen, police check and security clearance.

Supports civil construction and asset remediation projects by coordinating schedules, budgets, procurement, labor planning, documentation, QA/QC, logistics, subcontractors, compliance, and equipment. The Site Engineer works closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, clients, and project personnel to monitor performance, organize work fronts, provide technical support, and deliver projects according to standards and agreed outcomes.

Manage accounts payable processing and supplier payments, maintain AP records and compliance, meet AP metrics, and provide light office administration (supplies, consumables, general support).

Lead and supervise field blast and paint teams to deliver remediation and waterproofing works safely and on schedule. Plan tasks, perform risk assessments, ensure QA/QC and compliance, manage subcontractors, maintain project documentation, and promote continuous improvement and team development.

Provide project engineering support for asset remediation and civil construction projects: prepare project plans and Gantt charts, manage budgets, procurement, QA/QC, subcontractors, logistics, scheduling and reporting. Liaise with clients, site supervisors and project managers to coordinate work fronts, documentation and technical support, ensuring projects meet deadlines, compliance and client standards.

Provide engineering support and coordinate delivery of defence-focused asset remediation projects. Prepare project plans, schedules and specs; manage QA/QC, subcontractors, logistics, budgets, reporting and administrative project tasks; liaise with site supervisors and project managers to ensure timely, compliant project execution.

Perform surface and paint preparation, abrasive blasting, spraying and brush/roller painting. Maintain site, operate hand and power tools, work in confined spaces and at heights, complete manual handling tasks, and attend overtime/weekend shifts. Must pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and police check. Training and development provided.

Assist tradespeople with waterproofing tasks: prepare surfaces, apply membranes and sealants, handle materials and tools, maintain a clean worksite, and follow safety procedures.
