That's what footpath.ai is building, using AI, computer vision and street-level imagery to create detailed maps that include sidewalks, crosswalks, trees, benches, bike racks, and more - a stark contrast to traditional car-centric maps. footpath.ai is a spinout of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and consists of a team of AI/computer vision scientists, geospatial engineers, programmers, and developers, based in Sydney, Australia. Our walking person's view street-level imagery can also be used for automatic detection and mapping of POIs, footpath condition assessment and audits, buildings' façade risk assessment, and many more applications that require up-to-date and high-resolution imagery. footpath.ai is backed by the UNSW Founders, Nvidia Inception, and AWS Activate programs.
