Support teaching and research by fabricating, modifying, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and prototypes. Interpret technical drawings, operate machining and welding equipment, diagnose faults, maintain records and inventory, deliver safety training, and provide technical advice to staff and students while ensuring a safe, compliant workshop environment.

Lead the Mechanical Workshop team to deliver fabrication, welding, machining and prototyping services. Plan and execute projects from procurement to completion, oversee daily operations, allocate resources, liaise with clients, mentor staff, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement of workshop processes and equipment.

Administer HDR candidature progression and thesis examination lifecycle, advise clients on policies and systems, manage and report candidature data, prepare correspondence, resolve complex progression and examination issues, support process improvement and provide team leadership and workload coordination.
