Manage month-end close, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, loan book accounting, payments, cash flow, audits, financial statements, regulatory reporting, and finance process improvements. The role also mentors junior accountants, supports strategic initiatives, and ensures compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.

Own and grow a territory-based portfolio of broker and referral partners. Build relationships, educate and activate partners, generate deal flow, position Prospa’s value proposition, and achieve sales targets through channel engagement strategies. The role requires strong communication, influencing, territory management, and partnership-development skills, with experience in channel sales, broking, lending, fintech, or financial services preferred.

Assess and underwrite commercial loan applications for small businesses. Analyze bank statements, financial statements, industry risks, and credit risks; present transactions and recommendations to Credit Committee; prepare detailed credit papers; and apply commercial judgment to lending decisions. The role also involves reviewing credit reports, ASIC searches, secured lending opportunities, and financial documents while collaborating with management, sales, and business owners.
