Provides compassionate patient care in an acute hospital environment, assisting with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, transfers, observations, routine clinical tasks, documentation, and emotional support. Works alongside nurses and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient dignity, confidentiality, safety, and cleanliness. Requires at least 12 months of acute-setting AIN experience, current nursing study, strong communication skills, and flexibility for a seven-day rotating roster.

Provides safe patient transfers to and from operating theatres, assists with patient handling and positioning, prepares and cleans theatres, maintains a safe environment, and supports perioperative nursing staff. The role requires teamwork, communication, attention to detail, manual handling and infection control awareness, availability across a rotating seven-day roster, and completion of applicable police, child-safety, and immunisation checks.

Dispense and verify medications, counsel patients on safe medication use, identify interactions and contraindications, manage inventory and pharmacy records, and maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and professional standards. The role collaborates with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues in a hospital pharmacy environment while supporting medication safety and positive patient outcomes.
