Lead financial risk modelling, stress testing, scenario analysis, model validation, and risk reporting for the Reserve Bank’s balance sheet. The role develops risk quantification capability, advises stakeholders and senior decision-makers on financial risks, coordinates monitoring, and mentors analysts. It requires quantitative expertise, financial markets knowledge, familiarity with value-at-risk or expected shortfall, R programming, risk frameworks, and strong stakeholder communication.

Two-year graduate program supporting operational risk, compliance, governance and resilience across Australia’s critical payment infrastructure. Responsibilities include identifying and assessing operational risks, monitoring controls, supporting incident investigations, conducting root cause analysis, planning remediation, and enhancing risk and compliance frameworks. Candidates will receive structured training and work with experienced risk professionals in the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Payments Settlements team.
