Teams at Rest (Australia)

Leads Rest’s internal global equities function, overseeing portfolio strategy, risk management, performance, mandate compliance, and team leadership. Collaborates with senior investment leaders, develops new strategies, supports portfolio managers and analysts, and ensures competitive risk-adjusted returns for members while managing costs and downside risk.

Provides commercial and corporate legal advice to business units, management, and the Board. Responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating commercial, IT, and supplier agreements; advising on superannuation regulations; supporting strategic initiatives; contributing to policies, governance reporting, and Board submissions; managing stakeholder relationships; and delivering legal training.

Lead operational risk and compliance activities across the Investments function, including risk assessments, controls assurance, incident and issue management, obligations management, and compliance reporting. Partner with the Head of Operational Risk and Compliance, advise stakeholders, promote strong risk culture, collaborate with second-line risk teams, and provide leadership support as required.
