Manage a portfolio of group life insurance TPD and income protection claims from assessment through finalization. Responsibilities include analyzing claims, calculating payments, communicating with customers and advisers, coordinating treating doctors and rehabilitation consultants, engaging medical and legal specialists, participating in case conferences, and instructing third-party providers while delivering empathetic, timely outcomes.

Provide strategic legal advice across life insurance products, financial services regulation, commercial arrangements, contracts, intellectual property, customer communications, and marketing activities. Manage legal and regulatory risk, negotiate partnerships, monitor emerging regulations, and contribute to industry reform and advocacy in life insurance and superannuation. Collaborate with stakeholders and support informed business decisions and customer outcomes.

Supports TAL’s capital management strategy through financial analysis, forecasting, stress testing, dividend management, recovery planning, and reinsurance initiatives. The role evaluates and executes reinsurance transactions, enhances capital frameworks, advises senior leadership on capital, profitability, value creation, and risk, and partners with Finance and business stakeholders on Commercial Action Plan projects.
