Fabricate and weld steel, aluminium and stainless components for shipbuilding and repair using GMAW, GTAW and MMAW. Perform structural, sheet metal and pipe fabrication, interpret drawings, monitor welding quality, contribute to JSEA/risk assessments, operate workshop machinery, and work within a multi-disciplined team following OH&S requirements.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on dock and facility assets, including pumphouse equipment, reticulated services, valves, water bubblers and emergency wash stations. Operate and maintain diesel generators and assist pumphouse operations during dockings under Dock Master direction. Conduct repairs, brazing, machining and heavy engineering tasks to support dock operations and berthed vessels.

Lead and supervise naval architects and technical writers on the RMP-E program. Allocate tasks, review and approve maintenance work instructions, provide technical advice on ship configuration, assess and mark up drawings, support ECP incorporations, and ensure compliance with naval/class society rules and installation requirements.
