Lead Western Sydney University’s media strategy, media relations, storytelling, reputation management, and critical incident communications. Build journalist relationships, identify newsworthy opportunities, translate complex research and institutional priorities into compelling coverage, and lead a high-performing media and social media team. The role requires senior leadership experience in complex, publicly accountable organizations and strong knowledge of the Australian media landscape.

Leads complex business analysis for strategic operational initiatives, assessing current and future-state processes, systems, data, structures, and reporting. Facilitates stakeholder workshops, documents requirements, evaluates dependencies and change impacts, and develops feasibility assessments, use cases, and business cases. Supports testing, validation, implementation, and benefits realization while mentoring and overseeing Business Analysts and ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs.

Coordinates, researches, drafts, and edits executive communications for the Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor. Produces briefing notes, speeches, opinion articles, social media content, and background papers for internal and external audiences. Sources and verifies information, coordinates reviews and approvals, monitors higher education, policy, and media developments, and supports communication processes while handling sensitive matters discreetly.

Leads Western Sydney University’s enterprise AI strategy, governance, adoption, investment portfolio and enablement function. Advises executives and the Board, establishes responsible AI controls, manages multidisciplinary teams and partnerships, and scales AI and generative AI solutions from experimentation into sustainable university services. The role requires senior transformation leadership, strong understanding of AI risks and capabilities, and experience operating in complex, regulated or knowledge-intensive environments.

Provides administrative and workplace support across university business units while completing a Certificate III in Business. Responsibilities include maintaining records and filing systems, using computerised information systems, coordinating meetings and events, preparing documents, supporting communications and student engagement, prioritising tasks, and building professional relationships. Some positions may require travel between Western Sydney University campuses.
