The 2027 Information Technology (IT) Graduate Development Program at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is designed to support the development of emerging professional talent.

RBA IT powers Australia’s critical payments, supports whole‑of‑government banking, and moves banknotes with robotics — driving innovation at the heart of the nation’s financial system.

Our industry recognised program provides our graduates with an opportunity to explore and learn through our 2-year rotational program.

The program provides comprehensive training and development designed to progress your career, offering:

At the RBA, each IT Graduate is supported through their career exploration by the IT Senior Leadership Team.

Our graduate program provides you with 4 different rotations in areas including:

  • Business Analysis

  • Change & Communications

  • Cloud

  • Cybersecurity

  • Enterprise Strategy & Architecture

  • Generative AI Adoption

  • Information Support & Services

  • Infrastructure

  • Networking

  • Project Coordination & Project Management

  • Software Engineering & Programming

  • Systems Support

  • Testing.

We are seeking graduates who are dynamic and adaptable, strive for success, are strong communicators and collaborators, and driven to achieve results. Come and join us if you love tackling complex problems using your ingenuity.

 Requirements

  • You must be completing or have recently completed a degree with strong academic achievement in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • You must also be an Australian permanent resident or citizen or hold New Zealand citizenship at the time of application.

  • Selected candidates will be asked to complete a video interview and assessment.
