Job Description

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Aboriginal Participation Manager to manage and oversee the implementation of the Aboriginal Participation Plan for our upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee the Aboriginal Participation Plan (APP), including tracking and reporting on key metrics

  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in a large project environment to manage and ensure direct and subcontractor compliance with project Aboriginal Participation targets

  • Ensure program delivery complies with appropriate policies and Legislation

  • Effectively engage and manage multiple community and stakeholder groups to drive Aboriginal participation through both ACCIONA and subcontractor workforces

  • Develop project implementation plans and manage data, reports and related information to facilitate project administration and contract compliance

  • Explore all opportunities for State and Federal funding to support agreed Aboriginal participation initiatives under the Plan

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 5 years’ experience in community positions, including program design, delivery, and engagement

  • Experience in delivery of education programs and ability to engage with a wide range of audiences

  • Demonstrated experience in community development and/or community engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including sound knowledge and experience in planning, delivery and reviewing programs, and ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

  • Demonstrated experience engaging and building strong and trusting relationships with a range of industry and community stakeholders

  • Deep understanding of the Aboriginal Procurement Policy
