Account Executive – Australia Service Provider

Meet the Team

As an Account Executive, you will be a key member of the Australia Service Provider Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and expanding Cisco’s footprint within an Account. You will serve as the primary business development and sales lead for Cisco’s Service Provider Networking and Automation portfolio. This role acts as a strategic driver, aligning Cisco’s cutting-edge technology, to Service Providers Transformation Goals.

Your Impact

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies to meet and exceed sales targets specifically for the identified Cisco portfolio.
  • Relationship Excellence: Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and business influencers within the Account.
  • Market Expansion: Identify, qualify, and pursue new "white-space" business opportunities to expand Cisco’s footprint in Networking and Automation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Account Lead and internal teams including technical specialists, finance, legal, and product teams to propose tailored solutions.
  • Value Articulation: Effectively present Cisco’s solutions, clearly articulating the value propositions of Networking and Automation in a Service Provider environment.
  • Thought Leadership: Conduct formal presentations, and workshops to educate and influence stakeholders on Cisco’s innovation roadmap.
  • Commercial Navigation: Navigate complex Service Provider procurement and commercial frameworks to ensure successful deal closure and contract execution.
  • Operational Excellence: Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and account status updates to Cisco leadership.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent Cisco at events, industry forums, and technology days to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Customer Success: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing business challenges and facilitating solutioning to deliver outcomes.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Consistent record in account management or business development within the Service Provider/Telecommunications sector.
  • Strong knowledge of sales cycles, including experience with complex deals.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex solutions persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple opportunities concurrently with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Service Provider specific Networking and Automation requirements and technology trends.
  • High level of familiarity with Cisco’s product portfolio is strongly preferred.
  • Skilled in delivering engaging, outcome-based presentations tailored to Service Provider business needs.
  • A customer-centric approach with a proven ability to build trust and deliver long-term value.
