Overview

Microsoft’s Enterprise Account Team focuses on partnering with customers to achieve strategic goals.  This team is responsible for providing a differentiated Customer experience for our customers, del Win against competition by establishing Microsoft as market leaders, maximizing Customer spend, achieve targets (billed revenue, consumption, and adoption). Delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and driving revenue growth for Microsoft.   

 

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to drive Transformation in partnership with our customers with a focus on AI, Copilot and Security to achieve both Microsoft and customer business outcomes. Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft solutions portfolio, engage at the most senior levels of your customer and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace digital technologies.

 

With a proven history of driving growth in market share, achieving sales targets, customer obsession, and partner collaboration, this role will give the opportunity to leverage your extensive customer network and sales experience to execute against your customer’s account plan

Responsibilities
  • Develop trusted relationships with C-level executives and business and technology leaders, understand customer priorities and transformation agendas, and connect customers with Microsoft executives, industry experts, and partner ecosystems.
  • Act as a strategic advisor by bringing industry insight, conventional thinking, and shaping cloud, AI, and digital transformation strategies that create measurable business value. 
  • Create and execute comprehensive account plans for complex enterprise customers, anticipate customer needs, identify growth opportunities, and align Microsoft investments and priorities to maximize impact. 
  • Lead cross-functional virtual teams across sales, technical, customer success, partner, and industry organizations, ensuring focus on customer outcomes throughout the customer lifecycle. 
  • Drive pipeline development, opportunity creation, forecasting, and business growth, leading complex sales engagements from discovery and executive alignment through commercial strategy and deal closure. 
  • Develop compelling business cases and value-driven proposals, expand customer investments through strategic upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and position Microsoft as a trusted innovation partner. 
  • Proactively manage stakeholder engagement, customer satisfaction, and risk, advocate for customer needs internally, and capture customer success stories that demonstrate transformational value and support scale. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (RQs) 

 

  • 7+ years experience in working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 4+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR equivalent experience

 

Preferred Qualifications (PQs) 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 8+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 6+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
  • 5+ years account management experience OR equivalent
  • Proven success building executive-level relationships, influencing stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering strategic customer and commercial outcomes.
