Account Manager – Open Ended

Location: Sydney

About the role:

The Account Manager will work alongside the NAV Operations Manager to oversee a team of investment analysts who produce valuations and unit prices for clients. This also includes review of data entry, managing staff development and internal team relationships. Maintain the client relationship, take responsibility for co-ordination of regulatory reporting, audit preparation, marketing for new business along with the take on and due diligence requirements of the company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To ensure timely and accurate NAV calculation for a portfolio of funds on a daily, weekly or monthly basis along with any other client specific reporting requirements.

  • Provide accurate unit prices in accordance with client SLAs

  • Oversight of data entry to ensure complete investment transaction capture and reconciliation

  • Liaising with Auditors, ongoing review and update of team internal controls

  • Ongoing development of the business by liaising with the senior management and ensuring full communication from bottom up and implementation of new processes and controls as required

  • Ongoing Implementation and refinement of SSAE 18 controls

  • Manage client relationships, attending meetings and regular client contact

  • Ensuring client enquiries are answered in accordance with Apex service standards on an ongoing basis

  • Develop process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the funds specifications

  • Supervision and training of accounting staff

Skills Required:

  • 5-6 years experience in a similar role incorporating the above functions

  • An ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines

  • An accountancy qualification is an advantage

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills

  • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Macros in Excel

  • Good working knowledge / experience using HiPortfolio or Paxus preferred

  • High level analytical and problem solving skills
