Job Description

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced Account Sales Director to join our team and play a key role in growing business opportunities for one of the Hunter Valley’s premier resort destinations.

As the Account Sales Director, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and driving revenue growth across corporate, meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) segments. With a focus on both new business development and account management, you will position Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort as a leading destination for conferences, retreats, group stays, and corporate experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase corporate and MICE revenue for Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, industry events, and targeted sales activity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and key industry partners.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts to maximise repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and familiarisation visits to showcase the resort’s accommodation, conference facilities, golf, and leisure offerings.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure group bookings and events.
  • Collaborate with operational teams including Events, Front Office, Reservations, and Revenue to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain strong market knowledge, monitor competitor activity, and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reporting, forecasts, and pipeline activity.

Qualifications

You are a motivated and commercially focused sales professional who thrives on building relationships and achieving results. You will have:

  • Proven experience in hospitality sales, with a strong background in corporate and MICE markets.
  • A successful track record of generating new business and growing client portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong understanding of the hotel, conference, and events industry.
  • The ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Exceptional organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider resort team.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding service and creating memorable client experiences.
