About the role

We’re expanding our accounting division and looking for an Intermediate-to-Senior Business Services Accountant who wants to develop their expertise, work with diverse clients, and take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

While no two days will be the same, your main responsibilities will include:

• Prepare financial accounts and income tax returns for our small business clients, which include various structures such as companies, trusts, and individuals.
• Manage client’s tax compliance and ensure lodgements occur on time.
• Handle responsibilities encompassing BAS, IAS, and FBT returns, as well as CGT calculations, depreciation adjustments, and the identification of Div7a issues.
• Initial reviewer for outsourced offshore teams working papers.

About You:

• 1-3 years of experience in a chartered accounting firm in Australia.
• In the process of pursuing, nearing completion, or having already obtained their CA/CPA qualification.
• Strong communication and effective problem-solving abilities, combined with the capacity to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and more is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in FYI Docs is preferred but not essential.
• Be a strong communicator and enjoy building long-lasting relationships.
