About the role

As an Accountant, you will work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver high-quality services to clients. You will prepare financial statements and tax returns, support tax compliance and planning activities, and research a range of tax, structuring, wealth and asset protection matters.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and SMSFs.

  • Complete tax compliance work, including Division 7A, FBT, CGT, payroll and other indirect tax calculations.

  • Prepare and implement tax planning strategies and initiatives.

  • Research tax, business structuring, wealth and asset protection issues.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver commercially relevant outcomes for clients.

  • Identify relevant risks and escalate matters when appropriate.

About you

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce.

  • Approximately one to three years’ experience in Australian public practice.

  • Commenced or completed CA or CPA studies.

  • Experience working with privately owned groups, individuals and multiple entity types.

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and time-management skills.

  • Clear communication, strong research skills and the ability to propose practical solutions.
