The opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for early-career Actuarial professionals to join one of Australia’s leading insurers in the role of Actuarial Analyst across short- and long-tail insurance products.

We are seeking people to:

  • Support Actuarial Managers with providing value adding performance and reserving insights to divisional and Group colleagues

  • Perform monthly BAU tasks and other Actuarial analysis as required

  • Support ongoing actuarial claims performance monitoring to provide insights to the business.

  • Be the ‘go-to person’ for data analysis and support to senior Actuarial professionals, enabling the team to provide meaningful insights to the business

  • Support QBE’s annual budgeting cycle, and provide ongoing analysis to support financial reforecasts of QBE’s P&L.

  • Continuously seek process improvement and be part of the QBE Actuarial modernisation journey

Your story so far

  • You’re an Actuarial professional, potentially straight out of university as a graduate, or ideally with a small amount of experience under your belt.

  • You enjoy analysing data and using actuarial judgement to provide meaningful insights to the business, enabling us to manage a profitable portfolio of insurance products.

  • You are an exceptional communicator and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders across a broader organisation to collaborate and achieve success.
