As an Actuarial Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting actuarial pricing, valuation and analysis across nib Travel. Your insights will directly influence commercial outcomes, innovation, and customer experience. In this role, you will:
Contribute to pricing reviews across multiple travel insurance brands
Develop and maintain technical pricing and demand models
Assist with monthly insurance liability valuations
Monitor competitive pricing and market trends
Support price implementation and automation improvements
Conduct actuarial analysis and prepare datasets
Support product changes, new product pricing, and new business initiatives
Deliver clear reporting on portfolio performance and key metrics
About you
You’re someone who thrives on solving complex problems and translating data into meaningful insights. You’re collaborative, detail‑oriented and motivated by continuous improvement. You’ll also bring:
A tertiary qualification in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
2-3 years working experience in general insurance
Studying towards Fellowship status with the IAA (or equivalent).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a passion for data‑driven decision making.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
A growth mindset, curiosity and a drive to innovate.
Experience in personal lines pricing and/or valuation, R, Python, SQL is desirable
