Job Description

This position as an Actuary, offers growth and skill refinement while supporting creative solutions for our Superannuation fund partners in the Australian Group Life market. Reporting to the New Business Senior Pricing Manager, you will be part of our Wealth Management and New Business Pricing team

We seek a candidate who excels in balancing market-leading practices with transformative ideas for the Life Insurance industry.

This is a permanent role, working flexibly from our Sydney office.

In this role you will: 

  • Support the actuarial insurance needs of a large industry superfund
  • Contribute to insurance reviews and regular profitability updates
  • Liaise and present to clients directly on key pricing analytics and insights
  • Prepare CPS 320 pricing reports including technical documentation for pricing methodology and assumptions
  • Support internal stakeholders across the Product and Pricing team, and Customer Solutions team in preparing pricing advice and input to tender submissions to our clients
  • Develop and maintain standard Excel, R and SQL software tools for handling and checking pricing and benchmarking data and ensuring data integrity

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in actuarial science, mathematics or business-related field
  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries
  • Experience working within the life insurance industry
  • Strong research, analytical, and modelling experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Group Risk Pricing or Valuation experience, preferred
