Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Medical Receptionists and Medical Administration Officers to provide administrative and customer service support within our Consulting Suites, Front Reception and Neurostimulation team at Ramsay Clinic Northside. 

The ideal candidates will have availability to work all day across various shifts. Monday and Tuesday is essential, plus weekend day/night shifts at Front Reception. The Neurostimulation role is a full-time, Monday to Friday position with no weekends.

Multiple positions available, including permanent full-time and casual roles!

About the Role

Neurostimulation

You'll work in a small, supportive team, providing administrative support to a specialised service that makes a real difference in patients' lives. We are looking for longevity in the role. This is a 9am-5pm position Monday-Friday.  Medical Science background desirable.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Booking and coordinating patient appointments and treatment schedules.
  • Liaising with patients, doctors, nursing staff and other departments.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Answering phone and email enquiries professionally and promptly.
  • General administrative duties to keep the service running smoothly.

Consulting Suites and Front Reception

As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you’ll be instrumental in creating a warm and efficient experience that reflects our commitment to quality care.

  • Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our consulting suites.
  • Be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring every client enjoys a positive experience from their first point of contact.
  • Manage patient appointments, maintain accurate records, and process accounts with precision.
  • Build meaningful connections within the healthcare community and collaborate closely with our clinical team.
  • Play an active role in enhancing the overall experience for both patients and staff through your professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail.

To be successful in this role, you will thrive in a busy, client-facing environment providing exceptional customer service. You love the challenge of a high performing team as you are self-motivated, highly organised and can priorities efficiently.

  • Must be available to work full days and various shifts on Monday and Tuesday [e.g. 8:00am–6:00pm / 2pm-8pm- front reception]. Full-time role on the consulting suites is Monday  Friday various hours.
  • Previous reception or customer service experience, ideally in medical or healthcare administration.
  • Calm, empathetic and professional manner, particularly in a mental health environment.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Medical terminology and clinical knowledge essential.
  • Medical Science background is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Warm, professional and compassionate communication style.
  • Comfortable working in a mental health setting.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of multiple patient management systems is highly desirable (Zedmed & Meditech software training provided).
  • Understanding of Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).

Additional Information
