At carsales, we’re all about making buying and selling a great experience. Since 1997, we’ve been evolving with the new economy to help people choose how they move today and tomorrow.

When it comes to your career, we want to offer meaningful opportunities that empower you to make a lasting impact. But for that to happen, we strive to feel small, small enough to stay agile, learn across teams, and connect authentically with each other.

With a vision to be the global leader in online vehicle marketplaces, we’re transforming how people buy and sell across the world. We discover new ideas and bring them to life. We continue to grow, and we continue to evolve and we’re not afraid to take bold steps to get there.

This is your opportunity to join carsales in the role of Advertising Sales Specialist. They’re passionate about ensuring we remain a market leader, providing best in class services and offering tailored solutions to our clients and customers. We have multiple sales teams who look after different client bases, so there are plenty of opportunities to move teams and learn something new if you’re wanting to broaden your skillset.

We embrace hybrid working combining the flexibility of remote work with the energy and connection of in-person collaboration. We champion flexibility and offer a range of policies and leave options to support your wellbeing.

What’s on offer:

  • A place where you can move your career forward, where you’ll be continuously backed to make new ideas happen, and the chance to do work that makes real, significant impact in the world.

  • The support of a highly engaged, high-performing team including a leadership team that you’ll actually have face time with.
  • 24 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers, four weeks paid secondary caregivers leave and paid family & fertility planning leave.

  • Become a go-to expert across the carsales product suite, confidently demonstrating the value of our solutions and how they can support dealer performance.

  • Use customer data, product usage, market insights and performance reporting to identify opportunities, demonstrate value and create meaningful commercial conversations.

  • Experience in sales, account management, BDM or similar customer-facing commercial role, ideally within media, advertising, automotive, SaaS, technology.

  • Confidence having commercial conversations around value, investment, upgrades and additional solutions.

  • A consultative approach, with the ability to uncover customer needs, identify opportunities and recommend tailored solutions.

  • Proven ability to build trusted, long-term customer relationships and influence key stakeholders and decision makers.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate the value of products and solutions.

  • Ability to use customer data, reporting and insights to identify opportunities and support customer decision-making.

  • Strong organisation and pipeline management skills, with the ability to manage multiple customers, opportunities and priorities.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams

We know not everyone will meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If you’re excited about the role and believe you can make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
