Working alongside the Project Manager and the wider project execution team, the Contract Manager will focus on contractual risk mitigation, opportunity management, changes, claims, recoveries, contractual compliance, and protection of GE Vernova’s rights throughout project execution, close-out, and warranty.

Key Responsibilities
Contract Takeover and Implementation
• Participate in the post-signature contract takeover together with the Project Manager and project execution team.
• Review the signed agreement, key obligations, milestones, risks, assumptions, customer responsibilities, and notice requirements.
• Translate contractual requirements into practical actions for the project team.
• Maintain the Contract Management Plan, obligations register, risk and opportunity register, change register, and claims tracker.
Risk and Opportunity Management
• Identify and assess contractual risks and opportunities during project execution.
• Develop mitigation and opportunity-pursuit actions with the Project Manager and relevant functions.
• Preserve contractual rights, remedies, notices, reservations, and entitlements.
• Monitor contractual deadlines and escalate material issues through the applicable governance channels.
Change and Claims Management
• Identify and manage changes to scope, schedule, technical requirements, and customer obligations.
• Coordinate contractual notices, change-order submissions, extension-of-time requests, cost-recovery claims, and responses to incoming claims.
• Ensure that changes and claims are properly documented, substantiated, tracked, and progressed through resolution.
Recoveries
• Identify and support recoveries from vendors, subcontractors, insurers, consortium partners, and other responsible parties.
• Coordinate warranty claims, back-charges, insurance notifications, set-offs, and supporting evidence.
• Align recovery actions with customer claims, project exposure, and contractual responsibilities.
Project Execution Collaboration
• Work as an integrated member of the project execution team.
• Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Project Controls, Finance, Sourcing, Quality, Logistics, Site Management, Commissioning, Services, Legal, and Insurance.
• Ensure that contractual considerations are included in project planning, decision-making, scheduling, cost management, and customer communications.
• Promote timely record keeping and shared accountability for contract implementation.
Governance and Close-Out
• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with applicable Contract Management standards, policies, procedures, tools, and approval requirements.
• Provide accurate and timely contract management reporting.
• Support contractual close-out, final acceptance, outstanding claims, recoveries, securities, and warranty matters.
• Capture lessons learned to improve future project execution.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in contract management, claims management, legal, commercial project management, or project execution.
• Experience supporting large-scale energy equipment supply, infrastructure, industrial, EPC, or similar complex projects.
• Strong experience in contractual risk and opportunity management during project execution.
• Practical experience with change orders, claims, contractual notices, vendor recoveries, warranty matters, or insurance recoveries.
• Experience working in international, cross-functional project teams.
• Availability to travel across the Asia region.

Preferred Experience
• Experience in gas turbines, aeroderivative equipment, power generation, major equipment supply, installation, or commissioning projects.
• Familiarity with delay, disruption, extension-of-time, liquidated damages, performance guarantees, and warranty claims.
• Knowledge of international contracting principles and standard forms such as FIDIC.
• Experience working across Asian markets or in a global matrix organization.
• Professional legal, engineering, project management, quantity surveying, or contract management qualification.
Reporting Line
The Aero NU Contract Manager – Asia will report directly to the Global Contract Management Leader and will work as an integrated member of assigned project execution teams.
