We are currently seeking an Analyst Programmer to join our Implementation team located at our NSW office.

THE ROLE 

As an Analyst Programmer you will be providing technical support services in relation to the operation of existing applications that support Fujifilm’s customer facing applications.

MAIN ACTIVITIES 

  • Providing third level product support services for applications built upon Perl, SQL and XML processing.
  • Provide development services for changes to application including client change request and improvements to the production stability of applications.
  • Managing production environments, triage for incidents, release management and system monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Maintaining a standard, stable and robust AIX/DB2 application support environment.
  • Undertaking problem diagnoses, correction and escalated support across the organisation.
  • Participating in application upgrades and other general maintenance tasks.
  • Monitoring new releases and developing implementation and testing strategies.
  • Maintaining an effective testing environment and test changes to production servers in a controlled environment.
  • Develop policies procedures and other documentation required to support the application environment
  • Experience in writing policies and procedures and other support documentation.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages with main focus on SQL, Perl and Python. 

Key Skills and Personality Traits: 

Key Skills: 

  • SQL in Oracle or DB2

  • Perl scripting

  • Experience with handling large XML data sets

  • Linux and Unix environments an advantage

  • Experience with Python will be viewed favourably

  • Experience using AI in the development life cycle will be viewed favourably

  • Development experience in SaaS or AWS environments will be viewed favourably

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a computing discipline.

  • 3-5 years of experience in programming and application design working with Oracle or DB2 applications.

  • 2+ years in a large IT environment.
