About the Role

BDO Deal Advisory is a large full service corporate finance team, with a focus on the mid-market. The team provides a broad range of corporate finance services including:

  • Due diligence (buy-side and sell-side)
  • Mergers and acquisitions lead advisory
  • Business sale advice
  • Investigating accountant’s reports
  • Integration and separation assistance
  • Financial modelling
  • Independent expert reports
  • Valuations of business, shares, options and assets (including intangible assets)
  • Litigation support
  • Strategic advice

 

We are a high performing team having won various awards such as: 

  • Leading Accounting Adviser for IPOs on the ASX in 2025
  • A leading Financial Due Diligence provider globally in 2025
  • Completed 1,835 deals globally in 2025 of which 25% were cross border. 

About the Opportunity

 

We are looking for Analysts / Senior Analyst to come join our Transaction Services (TS) team in Sydney. This role will assist with the delivery of TS-related engagements on a day-to-day basis by performing detailed financial analysis (i.e. financial due diligence and forecast reviews) and preparing reports/ presentations for senior management and boards.

This role will also provide the opportunity to:

  • Interact directly with senior management (C-suite) of our clients
  • Identify negotiation factors for purchase price and deal structuring
  • Set a career path with clear and honest visibility around progression
  • Assist with business development and pursuit activities as well as cultivating long-term client relationships
  • Develop and manage divisional strategic tasks.

About You

 

The roles are suited to someone with a background in auditing/business services/accounting from a professional services firm or boutique advisory firm, or relevant commercial/industry role. You have the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements as well as:

  • CA and/or CFA qualifications or similar or in progress
  • Sound report writing, research, modelling and financial analytical skills.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word programs.
  • Relevant degree with outstanding academic record from a leading university or business school
