As part of Commercial Banking, we serve small to medium enterprises with up to $30 million in annual turnover and $10 million in commercial debt. Our clients are fully diversified and span a broad range of industries. We prioritise our customers, offering tailored solutions with products such as transaction banking, cash flow, capital, wealth, risk management, and trade finance. 

Following an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Chatswood team. Our close-knit team of 9 includes a mix of talent, including highly experienced Analysts who thrive on coaching and mentoring new starters, so there will be plenty of support. We are collaborative and friendly and conveniently located 5 minutes from Chatswood train station.

This client-focused role aims for top client satisfaction. As part of the relationship management team, you will gain exposure to sophisticated Commercial Banking, deals providing research and analysis, and developing a comprehensive database to build trust and strengthen client relationships. This role can enhance your skills for various career paths, including leadership, technical positions in risk, product or process teams, or front-line sales as a commercial banker. 

More specifically, you will:

  • Perform financial modelling and analysis to evaluate the risks and opportunities of new lending.

  • Analyse portfolios using market data and product offerings to prepare accurate and timely loan applications.

  • Work with relationship executives to understand clients' needs and achieve outstanding results.

  • Collaborate with product specialists, generate reports, and monitor performance.

We are a high-performing team seeking the same qualities in you, specific experience and skills will include:

  • Ideally experience in business banking, writing and analysing credit transactions, annual reviews, and reporting.
  • Alternatively, if you work at a T1 or T2 accounting firm and seek more, this could be a fulfilling career start with Australia's #1 employer in 2024, as recognised by LinkedIn.

  • A solid understanding of balance sheets, profit & loss, loan structuring, and securities.

  • You are a confident communicator at all levels and accustomed to working in a complex, deadline-driven environment.

  • A demonstrable aptitude for learning and a genuine interest in a credit analyst role.

  • Applicants with qualifications in commerce, accounting, or a related discipline, especially those with or working towards a CA or CPA, are strongly encouraged to apply.
