At Centric, we believe great advice starts with great analysis. We’re looking for a driven Analyst to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney. As part of the team, you will be responsible for contributing to both the Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction process and provide analysis of investment proposals and opportunities.

Your role, your contribution! 

  • Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis across a broad range of investments, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and managed funds. Assess fund managers across asset classes by evaluating investment strategy, performance, governance, risk, and operational quality.
  • Support the asset allocation process through macroeconomic research, scenario analysis, and model optimisation. Assist in reviewing and refining portfolio construction strategies in line with investor objectives and risk profiles.
  • Prepare regular reporting for APRA, trustees, and platform stakeholders, including stress testing (SPS530), compliance metrics, and investment governance materials. Maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness across all deliverables.
  • Provide analysis and documentation support related to corporate actions and listed securities, helping ensure timely and informed investment decision-making.
  • Liaise with financial advisers to address client-specific investment queries, ensuring high-quality, tailored responses. Collaborate across teams to translate investment insights into actionable guidance.
  • Assist with administrative work such as portfolio fact sheets, adviser and client material and investment committee reporting.
     

What you will bring to the role:

  • Relevant degree in Finance or related fields. 
  • Understanding of economics in terms of policy impacts and changes in major macroeconomic variables. 
  • Working experience in Investment Management and or Asset Allocation
  • Solid understanding of finance calculations and derivatives.
  • Ability to integrate and analyse large volumes of (technical) information to provide concise and understandable investment advice.
  • A curious and investigative mind and the ability to think laterally
  • A flexible, adaptable and team-oriented way of working
  • Highly numerate with the ability to interpret qualitative and statistical company, financial and other information from a variety of sources.
