About the role (your why)

You will be responsible for ensuring a programmatic approach to partner engagements is implemented in a specified set of partners or suppliers for the good of Datacom and its customers. This role will lead a team of people across Australia and New Zealand to accelerate growth in the business relationship between Datacom and its Vendors. ​

  • Ability to sell Datacom’s value proposition and full portfolio to the agencies and suppliers. ​
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. ​
  • Prevents erroneous decisions to avoid critical delay(s) in overall business activities. ​
  • Ability to frequently interact and network with subordinates, supervisors and functional peer groups. ​
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and align them with client business goals and objectives. ​
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams and gain the cooperation of others. ​
  • Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties. ​​
  • Excellent agency or supplier relationship building and management skills. Strong influencing and persuasive ability. ​
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders. ​
  • Strong consultative and planning skills. Ability to escalate with a solution focus.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and continually improve a Programmatic approach to a defined set of Partners and suppliers' relationships. ​
  • To position Datacom as market leader with appropriate new and existing technologies to market while also maximising the incentives, presales investments, marketing funds and any other resources that improves sales potential and profitability. ​
  • Collaborate widely and with curiosity to drive the appropriate; communications, governance and adherence with all the LoBs within Datacom to the Programmatic approach. ​
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of direct reports, ensuring that; planning, supplier impact, governance, incentives, targets, communications and contracts are properly addressed and monitored to ensure that service levels are met, and results delivered. ​
  • Managing the relationships with (and between) partners and suppliers, ensuring contracts and business plans are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts. ​
  • Ensure that the external agencies and suppliers see Datacom in the best light and understand the full capability of Datacom.​
  • Ensuring suitable collateral, business plans, contracts and sales enablement artefacts are in place. ​
  • Ensuring the highest partner accreditation is achieved and maintained to achieve better margins
