Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) APAC Commercial Capabilities Lead, located in Singapore or North Ryde, Australia.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The APAC Commercial Capabilities Lead directs Managers and/or senior individual contributors in a matrix environment and is accountable for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching and feedback. Contributes to business objectives throughout the sales lifecycle, from creating, maintaining and growing Commercial Excellence, Pricing & Contracting strategy, and coordinating the implementation of end-to-end CommEx, Pricing and Contracting operational excellence designed to meet sales objectives  

The APAC Commercial Capabilities Lead delivers business growth opportunities by improving CommEx, Pricing & Contracting/Tendering processes and strategic opportunities, implementing continuous improvement & automation programs, generating performance metrics, and disseminating information that promotes a favorable view of the organization and its products and services. Maintains an extensive knowledge of DPS portfolio, process troubleshooting and benchmark industry best practices in order to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate strategies and solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs Managers and/or senior individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching and feedback. 

  • Key partner to APAC Leadership Team providing strategic decision making support, coaching Commercial Capability organization in bringing expertise to local GM and commercial leaders. 

  • Delivers CommEx, Pricing & Contracting/Tendering vision and strategy for the commercial organization by retaining and applying an in-depth understanding of customer needs and leveraging those insights to create an unparalleled sales experience. 

  • Responsible for establishing APAC pricing strategy including floor price frameworks and compliance governance implemented via local operational execution excellence 

  • Participates in the design of strategic sales plans derived from corporate goals and customer touchpoints that leverage consumer data and customer insight to optimize CommEx, Pricing & Contracting/Tendering enablement and ensure the achievement of sales objectives. 

  • Designs key performance indicators to measure the performance of Commex, Pricing & Contracting/Tendering departments and benchmark the organization’s capabilities with competitors and industry leading standards. 

  • Develops relationships with leaders and stakeholders to understand consumer priorities, identify capability gaps, conduct on-going needs assessments, and translate needs into targeted solutions. 

  • Responsible for managing operational aspects of their teams (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), as well as implementing workforce and succession plans to meet business needs. 

  • Proactively creates a purpose driven environment by aligning Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.
