Job Summary:

Join us as an API Integration Consultant and play a key role in designing, delivering and supporting high-quality API integrations across our Enterprise Solutions team. This hands-on position combines API design, integration delivery, partner enablement and platform management to help create a seamless, secure and scalable integration ecosystem. Working closely with Product, Engineering and external partners, you will help drive API adoption, improve developer experience and enable the delivery of innovative solutions across the wealth management industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and support API integrations for internal platforms and external partners
  • Define and promote API design, development and deployment standards
  • Manage API lifecycle activities, including documentation, versioning and governance
  • Support partner onboarding and integration activities to drive adoption and reduce implementation effort
  • Monitor API performance, troubleshoot integration issues and identify opportunities for optimisation
  • Maintain and support API gateway platforms and associated tooling
  • Create and maintain high-quality API documentation and developer resources
  • Ensure APIs meet security, compliance and governance requirements
  • Coordinate testing and quality assurance activities to ensure reliable integration outcomes
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Business teams to deliver scalable integration solutions

Requirements:

  • 3-7+ years' experience in API integration, middleware or backend services
  • Strong experience designing and supporting REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
  • Experience working with API gateways such as Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway or similar platforms
  • Solid understanding of OAuth2, OIDC and API security best practices
  • Experience integrating with third-party systems and external partners
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across distributed environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Desirable
  • Experience with Apigee X, Google Cloud and/or AWS
  • Familiarity with developer portals such as Redocly, Postman or SwaggerHub
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures including Kafka and Pub/Sub
  • Exposure to identity and access management technologies such as Okta, SCIM or OpenFGA
  • Experience within financial services, superannuation, wealth management or accounting platforms
