Roles description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field testing of our Wi-Fi HaLow chipset applications to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, throughput, and reliability. Your technical expertise and analytical skills will be critical in supporting our field-testing efforts and providing valuable insights to enhance our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing and Validation:
    • Conduct field testing of Wi-Fi HaLow chipset applications to validate performance, efficiency, throughput, and reliability.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for RF performance testing.
    • Analyze test results, with help from development teams, and report back on field findings and learnings for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on chip performance.
    • Design and develop robust Python applications to aid in collection and automation of field tests.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Demonstrate technical leadership and troubleshooting during field-testing activities.
    • Analyze test results in collaboration with development teams and report findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Feedback:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on chip performance.
    • Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to RF testing.
  • Field-Testing:
    • Travel to different locations for field-testing activities as required.
    • Manage the logistics and preparation needed for onsite testing engagements, including equipment gathering, packing, and transport to test sites.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of software development, and general testing methodologies.
  • 2+ Years experience using Python and Linux.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Exceptional documentation skills and the ability to deliver high quality reports. 

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Prior experience in RF testing, preferably in wireless communications.
  • Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna theory, and wireless communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in using RF testing equipment such as spectrum analysers and signal generators.
  • Advanced experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (Python/Linux)
